CATCH BOATWORKS, LLC — LIMITED WARRANTY (U.S.)

Effective: January 1st, 2026

1. Definitions

  • “Catch Boatworks,” “we,” or “us” means Catch Boatworks, LLC, its successors, and assigns.
  • “Boat” means the new Catch Boatworks vessel identified by its Hull Identification Number (HIN) on the original bill of sale.
  • “Original Purchaser” means the first retail buyer who purchased the Boat directly from Catch Boatworks for personal, non‑commercial use.
  • “Defect” means a substantial defect in factory materials or workmanship.

2. Warranty Coverage — What We Cover

2.1 Ten‑Year Structural Hull Limited Warranty

Any Structural Hull Defect in material or workmanship which is reported within ten (10) years from the date of sale to the original retail owner will be repaired or replaced at Catch Boatworks’ option. The “Hull” shall mean the single fiberglass molded shell and integral structural stringer and bulkhead components. A Structural Hull Defect shall mean a substantial defect in the Boat’s Hull which renders the Boat unfit or unsafe for general use as a pleasure craft under normal operating conditions.

Catch Boatworks warrants the hull and structural stringer and bulkhead components of each new Boat to be free from defects in materials and workmanship that substantially impair structural integrity for a period of ten (10) years from the date of original delivery. This structural hull warranty transfers automatically to subsequent owners for the balance of the original ten-year term. No factory notification or transfer fee is required.

2.2 One-Year Exterior Cosmetic Gelcoat Limited Warranty

Catch Boatworks warrants to the original retail purchaser of its product that Catch Boatworks will correct or repair any air voids in the exterior gelcoat surface of the boat as a result of defects in materials or workmanship within one (1) year from the warranty commencement date provided that the original factory gelcoat surface has not been altered in any way.

2.3 Component and Systems Warranty

Factory‑installed components, systems, and hardware (including wiring, plumbing, and fittings) are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.

2.4 OEM Equipment

Engines, outboards, electronics, and other equipment supplied by outside manufacturers are covered solely by their respective manufacturer warranties. Catch Boatworks passes through those warranties to the owner and does not assume responsibility for their performance.

3. Owner Obligations

To Maintain Warranty Coverage, the owner must:

  • Use the Boat in a normal and responsible manner for its intended recreational purpose.
  • Perform regular maintenance as recommended by Catch Boatworks and the equipment manufacturers.
  • Keep maintenance and service records.
  • Promptly correct or address any condition that could lead to damage (such as leaks, corrosion, or loose fittings).

Failure to perform normal maintenance, or misuse of the Boat, voids warranty coverage.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you discover a potential defect covered by this warranty:

  • Notify Catch Boatworks in writing within fifteen (15) days of discovering the issue.
  • Include your name, contact information, HIN, purchase date (if known), a description of the issue, and photos if possible.
  • Catch Boatworks may request inspection at our facility in Stuart, Florida, or at an authorized service provider. Transportation, haul‑out, or delivery costs are the owner’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Catch Boatworks will determine whether the issue is covered under warranty and, if so, repair or replace the defective part at its option.

5. What We Will Do

If a warranted defect is confirmed, Catch Boatworks will, at its discretion:

  • Repair or replace the defective part or component at Catch Boatworks’ facility or authorized service provider only; or
  • Refund the cost of the defective part, less reasonable depreciation.

All replaced parts will become the property of Catch Boatworks. Repairs made under warranty do not extend the original warranty term.

6. What Is Not Covered

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by accidents, collisions, grounding, fire, theft, or abuse.
  • Damage from improper use, overloading, racing, or commercial/charter use.
  • Damage from improper storage, trailering, lifting, or blocking.
  • Finish on metal components, including but not limited to chrome, anodizing, or powder coating, or any resulting corrosion, pitting, or discoloration.
  • Cosmetic issues such as scratches, gelcoat fading, cracks, crazing, oxidation, or discoloration from exposure.
  • Corrosion, electrolysis, or damage from lack of maintenance.
  • Damage caused by installation or modification of non-factory components.
  • Damage caused by acts of nature (hurricanes, floods, lightning, etc.).
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Incidental or consequential damages including towing, haul-out, loss of time, or loss of use.

7. Limitations and Disclaimers

This Limited Warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty provided by Catch Boatworks.

There are no other express or implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Catch Boatworks’ total liability for any claim, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts, or the original purchase price of the Boat, whichever is less. Catch Boatworks shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages of any kind.

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

8. Choice of Law and Dispute Resolution

This Limited Warranty shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Florida.

Any claim, action, or dispute arising from or relating to this warranty shall first be submitted to non‑binding mediation in Martin County, Florida, before any legal action is filed. If litigation becomes necessary, jurisdiction and venue shall lie exclusively in the courts of Martin County, Florida.

All legal actions must be filed within two (2) years of the date the alleged defect is discovered.

9. Miscellaneous

  • This warranty is void if the Boat has been salvaged, declared a total loss, stolen, or used for commercial, rental, or charter purposes without prior written consent.
  • This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights which vary by state.
  • Catch Boatworks reserves the right to improve or modify its boats and components without obligation to retrofit or update previously manufactured boats.
